EXISTENTIALISM EDITORIAL
An editorial spread about the duality of existentialism: dread and freedom.
—
This editorial spread shows an excerpt from Jean-Paul Sartre's essay Being and Nothingness. It describes existentialism, a philosophy that emphasizes existence before essence. In short, we are born as free beings, condemned to make choices and create our own meaning in life in a world without inherent meaning. It can be both freeing and terrifying to think about, a duality I convey with imagery of things that give people's lives meaning including beauty, religion, money, love, lust, and humor.

TAKEAWAYS
I love experimenting with design.
—
My favorite thing about being a designer is simply just how much there is to learn: the styles, applications, techniques, and more. As a lifelong student, I hope to continue expanding my horizons and try my hand at new mediums.
